Welcome to the Roya company at King Abdulaziz University. We are located in the heart of Jeddah city at the University’s main campus.

With a dearth of genetic diagnostic services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the real need to establish advanced specialized laboratory services for maximizing the healthcare Saudi generation, the Roya of Specialized Medical Laboratory Services was established. The Roya Specialized Medical Laboratory Services was one of the initiatives supported by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s, vision 2030, which led to the establishment of a private company that specialized in medical laboratories. It is a group of medical laboratories operating within the organization of the Medical Centers at King Abdulaziz University services for all health sectors in the Kingdom in order to achieve sustainability of these specialized medical laboratories and the university.

Since its inception and now, Roya is providing many types of cytogenetic and molecular services. These services have been accredited internationally by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). In the field of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, services are rendered in newborn screening and analysis of prenatal and postnatal conditions. A major contribution is coming through an invitro fertilization facility to distinguish normal embryos from the one carrying genetic anomaly. In addition to its clinical service role, Roya is equally active in furthering its role in basic and applied clinical research. In a short time, it has become known to provide exceptional service for referring physicians, genetic counselors, researches and the families.
